Lodenwalk Tour - 3 days

„Loden“ is a very specific and robust kind of material. The western region of Austria is famous for the manufacturing of this natural product. The so called „Lodenwalk“ tour brings us into this region, where beautiful narrow roads are awaiting us. The mountainous landscape offering big forests is named „Vorarlberg“.

We start the first day in Munich and cross the upper Bavarian lake region. We ride up the first mountain roads until we reach the lake Constanza, the biggest lake of Germany located in the triangel of Austria, Switzerland and Germany. On its coast, in the already mentioned region of  Vorarlberg we will have our first night stop.

The next day leads us along the Lodenwalk to the next high mountain region in western Tyrol. We will drive on an exciting winding road through a tunnel to a fascinating reservoir situated on an altitude of  2000m. This lake is important as a reservoir for water as well as for the supply of a big power plant. The water comes from the glaciers surrounding it, where its peaks reach more than 3000 m of altitude. A very impressive location!

We follow the banks of the young river Inn until we arrive on the upper plane of Innsbruck for the night stop.

The final tour day is reserved for the visits to all of the beautiful juwels, which we find on the way back through and over the German Alps to Munich.
